Why first fix is too late.
The most expensive shading problems usually start before a blind has been ordered.
By first fix, many of the decisions that determine the final result have already been made. Ceiling depths are established. Window pockets are formed. Structural support may be hidden. Cable routes are being committed.
A shading system can still be installed, but the best solution may no longer be possible.
Power is only one part.
The number and location of cables must suit the selected system. Just as important are access, motor position, pocket dimensions, curtain stack, bracket support and the relationship with lighting, ventilation and joinery.
The earlier question is simpler.
How should the room manage light, heat, privacy and view? Once that is understood, the architecture can make space for the right answer.
Early advice rarely adds complexity. It removes it.
